Hanaska Food

Hanaska Food produces premium fresh frozen fruit purees for a variety of culinary and food service preparations. We focus on fruits native to our region, principally passion fruit, mango, pineapple, guava, and soursop, among others. Hanaska Food’s production facilities have been ISO 22000-certified since 2008, in addition to holding FDA, Kosher, and HACCP certifications.

Hanaska Food is a division of Hanaska, founded in 1973, the largest catering and facilities management company in Ecuador. Hanaska signifies “higher” in Quechua, the language spoken by the indigenous people of Ecuador, Peru, Colombia, and neighboring countries. This signifies our constant effort to improve, which we apply across the 100,000 meals we serve every day.

In 2004, we started the division Hanaska Food as a means of supplying frozen fruit puree and fruit juice to our own catering clients. We began exporting our products to the United States and Europe in 2011, and have since grown our international division in addition to our presence in the local market.

We are deeply connected with local fruit production in Ecuador, with longstanding providers of all the fruits we supply. After an intensive quality control process of the fresh fruit to make sure it meets our high standards, we process the fruit ourselves in our state-of-the-art plant in Quito.
